SOFTAL Corona & Plasma GmbH designs and develops corona and plasma surface treatment systems for improving adhsion and wettability on substrates for coating, printing, laminating, lacquering and other converting processes. Substrates which may be treated include polymer films, paper, metal sheet, woven and nonwovens, textiles, printed electronics among others.
Situated in Hamburg, Germany the design and manufacturing facility also includes the hightech Centre of Excellence for Corona and Plasma where development of the surface treatment processes are constant and ongoing. This facility is also available for customer trials.
SOFTAL Corona & Plasma GmbH produce machines for surface treatment of polymer films, conductive foils, textiles and other substrates to improve adhesion of print inks, lacquers and coatings.
The new generation of SOFTAL corona treaters for high speed, wide web BOPP lines provides production speeds no longer limited by the corona treater. The compact design provides improved maintenance and durability for high capacity lines.
SOFTAL Linear Plasma systems treat a wide range of materials which can not be treated with standard corona treatment, for example, thick substrates such as hollow extruded sheet, foams, and wood composites. Sensitive optical films are treated where corona discharge creates optical distortion and a potential free version treats semiconductor wafers and printed electronic circuits without damage.
SOFTAL ALDYNE atmospheric gas plasma system is available for in line applications to replace wet chemical primer, and for high wettability requirements.
