For plastics manufacturing companies or compounders, the quality of the plastic pellets, prior to packaging, is most important. High contents of dust and streamers or angel hair in plastic pellets lead to customer rejects and lower market prices. Therefore, Pelletron developed a new economical conveying process, trade named pellcon3®, based on three major process components:
Pelletron’s XP-Series DeDuster® is the most compact DeDuster® on the mark in various sizes for discharge capacities from 500kg/h to 100t/h. The DeDuster® separates particles as small as one (1) micron as well as long streamers or other contaminants. The system is ideal for cleaning of all kind of granular products and regrind before processing or packaging. Other small types of DeDusters® are availble that fits to an injection molding machine or a dryer.
Pelletron introduce a unique and patented conveying pipeline elbow that is trade named the Pellbow®. It is especially designed to minimize damage caused when solid particles are injected into a high velocity conveying system — the higher the velocity, the more dust and streamers are formed in elbows. The Pellbow® eliminates streamers, reduces dust and is wear resistant when conveying abrasive products. The Pellbow® is 100% self-cleaning when the pipe system is purged.
