Creep and Relaxation Tester
Instrumented multi-station system for motor-driven creep and relaxation measurement
Easy Handling
Reproducible Load Application
Programmable Load Cycles
optional Temperature Chamber or Humidity Control
optional Video Extensometer for precise, non-contact strain measurement
The measurement of creep behavior provides data for design purposes as well as for research and development. The test is performed on standardized test specimens under specified conditions, such as pretreatment, temperature and humidity. DIN EN ISO 899 or ASTM D 2990 describe the creep test on plastics for the tensile test and the flexure test. Electromotive systems offer convenience, flexibility and precision. Creep and relaxation measurement as well as alternating cycles can be programmed.
All Systems
with 3 to 10 stations
with optional temperature chamber or humidity control
with optional video extensometer for precise, non-contact strain measurement
Extrusion Plastometer MFR/MVR (Melt Flow Index Tester)
Extrusion plastometers are used to characterise the flow behaviour of thermoplastics. The meltmass flow rate, MFR value (g/10min) indicates the amount of material flowing through a capillary with defined dimensions at a specific pressure and temperature in ten minutes. The melt-volume flow rate, MVR value (cm³/10min) indicates the volume that is pressed through a capillary in ten minutes.
The MFR/MVR tester can be operated alone or via Coesfeld WIN-MFR/MVR software. The active device status is intuitively displayed via the touch panel. The optional PC connection offers extended device configuration and measurement data management. The operating button allows glove-friendly command input in the respective operating step. The device can be upgraded in modules from the minimally instrumented standard MFR equipment, e.g. by connecting a scale, displacement sensors up to a lifting platform for automatic MFR/MVR testing.
Instrumented Impact Tester
Puncture and impact resistance up to 180 Joule
Multipurpose due to modular machine design
Quick Test Execution
Touch-Panel Operation
The IIT 180 is a multi-functional drop tower with automatic drop height travel and drop release. Optionally, the system can be extended and adapted to the required application by adding automatic specimen fixation, anti rebound catch system, speed measurement and high dynamic force measurement. With guided dart slides, semi-automated dart drop testing according to ISO 7765-1 and ASTM D1709 can also be realized.
VST/HDT Testers
Compact Tabe-Top Unit with 3 or 6 Stations for industrial HDT and VST measurement
The Coesfeld Vicat/HDT series provides test devices for determining the VICAT softening temperature (VST) of thermoplastics and the heat deflection temperature (HDT) of fibre-reinforced and filled thermosetting plastics, as well as of thermoplastics and hard rubber.
Highlights:
- Integrated Fume Exhaust for Vicat/HDT Testers
- Oil Free VICAT Tester available
- automated loading (Integrated Weight Set)
- ready for ISO 75-3 (Composites)
HDT: Heat Distortion Temperature
DIN EN ISO 75-1, 75-2, 75-3
VST: Vicat Softening Temperature
DIN EN ISO 306
PIT 25/50 - Pendulum Impact Tester
Electric pendulum brake - high safety - no compressed air required
Free start angle adjustment possible
Flexible and easily adaptable to common testing standards
Optional motorized pendulum reset
CE-compliant partial or full safety housing
The Coesfeld pendulum impact tester enables testing of the entire spectrum of plastic impact testing, Charpy, Izod, impact tensile and Dynstat according to ISO as well as ASTM standards up to 50 joules. Optionally, the instrument can be upgraded with automatic pendulum return and specimen loading, for convenient and high throughput.
The pendulum impact tester is operated by PC as standard. An operation button allows easy release and braking of the pendulum to perform measurements in series directly at the instrument in quick succession. The optional touch panel provides a direct overview of the measurement sequence. Impact energy and all standard relevant results are displayed and stored immediately after each impact test. The results can be further used in the finished report format or, as is typical for Coesfeld, in the complete raw data export.
