Products & Services
Within our global network of facilities for heat treatment and specialist thermal processing, we operate a global Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) business with the largest equipment network in the world and continue to invest in greater capacity in recognition of growing demand for HIP technology.
We provide two major HIP routes for our customers:
HIP Product Fabrication, for the manufacture of near-net-shape components and tool steel bars and billets through powder metallurgy and diffusion bonding; and
HIP Services, providing porosity removal through HIP densification.
Each week our HIP product fabrication plants will produce and process many tons of material such as tool steel, high speed steel, stainless steel, cobalt and nickel-based alloys. This is done by densifying metal powders into solid bars or billet with HIP. This can be simple solids or bimetallic materials to manufacture screw or liner segments and uprate performance compared to traditional tool steel components.
