MIXACO Dr. Herfeld GmbH & Co. KG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of innovative mixing systems for a wide range of applications and industries. With over 60 years of experience, technical pioneering spirit, and a genuine passion for mixing. As an independent, family-run company headquartered in Neuenrade, Germany, we stand for continuity, reliability, and the highest level of engineering expertise.
Our international presence is strategically strengthened by our own subsidiaries: With MIXACO Machinery Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. in China and MIXACO USA LLC based in Greer, South Carolina, we are close to our markets and customers. In 2024, MIXACO has further expanded its presence in Asia by establishing a modern manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China. Through MIXACO Machinery Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., MIXACO mixers are now manufactured locally for the Asian market. All equipment is produced strictly according to the same designs, engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance systems as at our German headquarters, ensuring German-quality performance “Made in China.” This local manufacturing strategy enables significantly shorter delivery times and faster service response, providing Asian customers with efficient, reliable, and market-oriented mixing solutions.
A large number of national and international patents underscore our innovative strength. We are recognized as a technology leader in industries such as powder coatings, masterbatch, compounding, and the plastics industry as a whole, as well as in the PVC/WPC, rubber, chemical, animal feed, and food industries. With the container mixer we developed, we have revolutionized industrial mixing technology in the long term.
More than 8,000 MIXACO mixers installed worldwide stand for the highest quality “Made in Germany” and guarantee maximum efficiency, reproducibility, and cost-effectiveness in our customers' production processes.
Our state-of-the-art test centers in Neuenrade, Germany, and Greer, South Carolina, USA, give us a particular competitive advantage. Here, we work with our customers to test even the most complex mixing tasks under realistic conditions and optimize their design.The test center of the Changzhou factory is also expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025, and soon customers will be able to conduct tests at the Changzhou factory.
Complemented by a global sales and service network with regional subsidiaries and representative offices, we have competent contacts almost everywhere in the world. Our focus is on open, cooperative partnership, short decision-making paths, and transparent processes.

With innovative products such as the i4 container mixer or the laboratory heating mixer, we continue to set new standards in mixing technology. Our team is united by a fascination for turning technical challenges into efficient machine solutions. Thanks to flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths, we are always able to react quickly and flexibly to individual requirements.
Container Mixer Multitool™
The perfect mixer for temperature-sensitive raw materials. Different material flows increase the temperature by only one tenth compared to conventional mixers. A special arrangement of the mixing tools prevents the materials from heating up and sticking to the tools, the mixing head and the container.
Container Mixer CM i4
The new Industry 4.0 container mixer CM i4. Innovative machine components ideally suited for frequent recipe changes due to reduced cleaning times. The innovative flat mixing head and optimized machine components significantly reduce cleaning effort.
Laboratory Container Mixer Lab CM
Mixing batches from 6 liters. Ideal for product development and quality control. The MIXACO laboratory container mixer Lab CM is suitable for mixing small quantities. In addition to product development, these are also required for production monitoring.
Heating/Cooling Mixer
MIXACO Heating/Cooling Mixer. For throughputs up to over 8,000 kg/h. Our heating/cooling mixer is the optimal solution when it comes to demanding mixing tasks. It guarantees fabulous product preparation in heating and high efficiency in cooling performance.
Universal Mixer vertical
The flexible stationary mixer. Perfect adaptation to mixing tasks and structural conditions. Especially due to its high flexibility in its execution, the universal mixer can be ideally adapted to the required mixing task and structural conditions. Sizes with a total volume of 5 to 6,000 liters are available.
